Artex

A former travelling companion of Daergel who was slain by an undead bugbear shortly before the party arrived in Darktower. He was a former soldier who left the military to seek his fortune as an adventurer. He was crude, and usually drunk, but he was a funny and likable companion.

Bloodbeard

A cleric of Moradin and former travelling companion of Hork and Daergel. He's verbose and somewhat evangelical. He's a good person, if a bit naive when it comes to the trustworthiness of gnomes.

The Bounty Hunters

This trio is associated with the international Assasin's Guild. Their leader is a cold, calculating woman. The other two are a small, quiet man who generally hides in the shadows of his hooded cloak, and a tall half-orc warrior. They are notorious and extremely dangerous. Fortunately, perhaps, they are members of the Assasin's Guild, which has ties with the Thieves' Guild. As such, the PCs' guild membership grants them some protection from the bounty hunters. This is probably a good thing, since Daergel certainly didn't get on their good side during their last meeting.

Crane

Crane was the resident wizard of the Darktower Thieves' Guild. He's gaunt, dark-haired, and broody. The party recently discovered that Crane has been plotting to turn himself into a lich, and has secretly been using Jimmy and them to obtain several important magic items needed for the necessary rituals.

Dunbar

The barkeep at the Black Boar tavern. He's one of the few humans about town who rivals Hork in size. He stands around 6'6". He's bald, burly, and black.

Felix

A 'colleague' of Jimmy's from out of town. Brings adventurer-friendly 'merchandise' to Darktower to sell to local merchants who don't ask many questions.

Garek

A grey-bearded dwarven caravan master whom the party helped escort to Darktower after his caravan was ambushed by hobgoblins. He's a veteran warrior, and is suspected to be a dwarven battlerager. He tolerates Daergel and respects Morgrim and Hork for their good nature and fighting prowess.

The Halfling

A member of the adventurer's guild who has helped out the PCs for his own reasons. The way he figures it, they now owe him a favor. He is friendly and seems nice enough, but the PCs are not sure what to think of him.

Jonas

A friendly, almost fatherly cleric of Pelor who helps run the Adventurer's Guild.

Julia

Uncle Kiro's gnomish lady friend. She's a member of the Adventurer's guild. She is pretty quiet, so the PCs haven't learned much about her.

Jimmy the Fence

Guildmaster of the Darktower Thieves' Guild. Slim and a little short for a human, but has a aura of command about him. Has inside connections with the authorities in Darktower, and is an influential figure about town. He's often seen with two burly lackeys whose names the party has never gotten around to learning.

Magnus Stout

A drunk, a degenerate gambler, a clanless dwarf, and a cleric of Fharlanghn. He's bald, dark-bearded, and carries a well-worn walking staff. Often smells of dwarven whiskey.

Mork

The owner of Mork's Magic Shoppe; an old, cantankerous, hunch-backed wizard/witch of unknown gender (suspected to be female though).

Sylasune

Sylasune is an elven monk, and a former traveling companion of the PCs. He was in Darktower investigating the mysterious death of the leader of the order to which he belongs. He has since returned from whence he came. The PCs have since heard rumors that he is some sort of "Chosen One" amongst his people.

Update: Sylasune was murdered in Darktower by persons unknown while they party was away, on their mission to Oglibyet's crypt. Sylasune was found headless and with his heart removed.

Uncle Kiro

Daergel's uncle and childhood hero. Had a reputation as a troublemaker and wandering vagabond, but has since settled down somewhat. He's a great cook and easy to get along with.

Balthazar

A cantankerous old sage who lives in Arcturus. Knows more about the history of the Darktower region than pretty much anyone. Crane was once his apprentice, and drugged Balthazar and made off with several important books.

Hiram

A veteran warrior of Windmere who accompanied the party in their assault on Hailstorm Tower. He is around 60 and has used his share of the proceeds from the mission to fund his retirement.

Rubinius Daergel

Daergel's great uncle, twice removed. He is a master wand-maker who resides in the gnomish quarter of Arcturus. He was Magnus's mentor in wand-making.

King Aramus III

The king of Windmere is a former adventurer who was thrust into kingship when his father was slain in an orcish raid. He is a simple, likable man who enjoys the company of adventurers. The party presented him with the Fire Giant's warhammer as a gift after their assault on Hailstorm Tower, and it now hangs over the mantle in the feast hall of Windmere Keep.

Kendall (gnome merchant)

Kendall is the gnomish merchant who was responsible for the airship that was brought down by the orcish ambush. He was the party's liaison to the Gnomish Merchant Guild of Arcturus, and feels indebted to them for recovering the stolen caravan goods (and thus saving him from imprisonment or hanging).
