Duvik's Pass
The northernmost village of the Kingdom of Alterac. It sits in a high pass on the Alteran border, about a day's march south of Darktower. It has a population of about 400, mostly shepherds, farmers, and stationed soldiers (and their families). The party is honored here because they routed the goblin clan that was the raiding the highway from Duvik's Pass to Darktower. Since Duvik's Pass makes good money from merchants passing through, the mayor and prominent townsfolk were very grateful. The PCs get free room and board at the village inn.
Marek's Peak
A tiny hamlet about two days' travel by winding mountain trails to the east of Duvik's pass. The inhabitants are miners of a low-grade silver mine and their families. Daergel, Bloodbeard, and Artex saved the villagers from an Orcish Shaman and a band of kobolds that had taken over the mine. In gratitude, the villagers have founded a church of Moradin (despite the town having no dwarven inhabitants).
The Heartland
The heartland of the Kindgom of Alterac is the region surrounding the capital, Alterac City, which lies around 150 miles south of Darktower. The heartland is heavily influenced by the dominant church, although the church is not officially in power. None of the PCs have spent much time there.
